**Finding Purpose in Work**
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.”
Many people view work as a necessary evil, a means to an end. They feel unfulfilled and disconnected from their jobs, longing for something more meaningful. But the Bible offers a different perspective, revealing that work is not a curse, but a gift from God.
The verse above shows that work was part of God’s original design for humanity, even before the fall. It was intended to be a source of purpose, satisfaction, and contribution.
Therefore, seek to find meaning in your work, regardless of your profession. Approach your tasks with diligence and integrity, knowing that you are ultimately working for God. Look for opportunities to serve others through your work, and to use your skills and talents to make a positive impact on the world.
Guided Prayer: Lord God, help me to view work from your perspective. Show me how to find joy in all I do.
Reflection Questions:
How do you currently view the work you have to do? Is it a burden or a blessing?
